Make the system understandable

An architecture model creates a shared view of identities, interfaces, data flows and boundaries. Its value comes from the conversation it supports: which assumptions are reliable, where responsibilities meet and what still needs investigation.

Trace a plausible consequence

Consider a fictional service that reads customer records. The team can examine whether its identity has appropriate access, where authorization occurs and how a compromise could affect the records. The model organizes questions; evidence is needed to answer them.

Give the response an owner

A mitigation proposal becomes actionable when it names the risk being addressed, the responsible owner and the validation activity. The review should also record residual uncertainty and the conditions that would trigger another look.

Modelo’s public lifecycle—Model, Analyze, Simulate, Mitigate—offers a way to explore that progression. The website demonstration uses fictional data and presents general review practices.
